In The Studio: Make it 6 “Gray Day”

For this painting, I used a limited color palette Burnt Sienna, Ultramarine Blue and Alizirin Crimson.  I used a 1 inch flat for most of the painting.line drawing 15 x 22 arches cold press

Don’t forget to leave the lights and to elevate the board about 30 degrees, the water must run downhill.

Darken the paint using less water and very direct brushwork, scrapes can be made with a credit card or the end of the bevelled handle brush.Darken inside the boat and put in some nice indications of water and loose reflection.  The boat is moving so the reflection will be really broken.
