In The Studio: Day 4, Sails, Sails, Sails

Today we are painting what seems pretty complicated but actually the painting is based on a series of overlapping triangles, representing sailboats, and at the bottom of the triangles, modified long rectangles for the hulls.  Apply the paint in a very energetic and rhythmic fashion.  Try not to get to worried about the subject matter but stay more focused on the excitement of the boats racing around.15 x 22 watercolor arches coldpress

What extraordinary representation of the movement in the sky, sea, air and sailboats. What a good mix of gulls and sailors. What great beauty and subtlety in the sails of the boats. What a good day for sailing. I love itReplyCancel
