In the studio: Opaque Watercolor: Sunset on the Porch

Sorry it has taken me a few days to get back this project but the internet was really slow where I was spending the weekend.  This painting doesn’t really work but I am okay with posting it since it is part of a learning curve.  My journey is a process and my success is not based on just one painting.  I kept darkening and lightening the mixtures trying to capture the grand contrast of sunset and I like the colors but the contrast of values are not quite right, not dark enough in the mid values which is keeping the light from really singing out.  Oh well, better next time maybe.For all of you who are inclined to critique my photography, I know it is less that optimally focused.
