It’s hot in Florida in August and the sun puts a blinding glare on white paper so I am sitting on the porch drawing the plants and accessories that are situated around my chair. As I said yesterday the drawing itself is not the goal for me, the goal is to just get lost in the process, use a pencil, interpret the shapes, and get the proportions and perspective close. Nothing more, and these three pages took about 2 hours and really keep my eyes and hands involved. Just draw the stuff around you, don’t wait until you find the perfect subject, since that will almost always evade you.
