22 x 30 Acrylic on Rives BFK Paper. I painted this today with the only goal of doing an interesting textural abstraction and ended up with something that is evocative of a landscape without the subject matter. The colors are definitely a remembrance of deserts and lakes, some of my memory and some from pure fantasy but this is the way of creativity. Try some abstract paintings without focusing on the actual subject matter but just the colors, textures and planes. I used gac100 to thin the paint and to speed the drying and then applied the paint and scraped it off using various scrapers and palette knives.
