The Artist In The Studio

15 x 22 watercolor on arches cold press,  Try to let the white paper sparkle and use vibrant colors, have textural, expressive brushwork and be loose in the interpretation be creative not literal.  I used lots of colors for this one, All of the blues from Thalo to Cerulean, burnt sienna, new gamboge, thalo yellow green, thalo green, raw sienna. Please try not to over mix the colors or you will loose the feeling of sun filled day.  The more light the more you can see and the more color that is apparent.  I painted the whole painting with a 16 round and just used a little bit of scraping on the rocks.  Give it a go, and keep up with the routine, I promise you will be happy when the 90 days are over and your paintings are much more painterly and expressive.
